Privacy

yourchars.com is a small character-card index. Most pages can be browsed without an account. We index card metadata, curated preview thumbnails, and links to source platforms; we do not host full card files.

We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and a few site events. Plausible is cookieless and does not build cross-site profiles. We do not run third-party advertising or retargeting trackers.

First-party cookies are used only after a visitor action:

• yc_cookie_consent remembers the cookie banner choice for 1 year.
• yc_age_v remembers a mature-content age-gate confirmation for 30 days. A retired legacy value of 2 is treated only as the current mature confirmation.
• yc_session keeps a magic-link reader or editor login active for 30 days.

Reader and editor login uses magic links. After login, our Cloudflare D1 database stores only what the feature needs: users rows with an email_hash, magic_link_tokens hashes for one-time links, sessions rows for active sessions, optional favorites rows, and moderated comments rows. Comments use a derived public pseudonym and an ip_hash for abuse limits; raw email, raw IP, and real names are not stored with comments.

To remove local cookies, clear site data in your browser. To delete a logged-in account or a comment you posted, email legal@yourchars.com. Account deletion removes the related users, sessions, magic_link_tokens, and favorites rows for that email hash within 7 days.

Terms of Use

You may browse, search, save favorites, post comments where enabled, and follow source links. You may not scrape the site, misuse comments, submit unlawful content, or present yourchars.com as the host or source of card files. A sitemap is provided for normal indexing.

Every indexed card belongs to its original creator and source platform. Source links take you to separate services governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not process payments or host complete card payloads.

Comments are pre-moderated. By posting a comment, you confirm it is your own writing and allow yourchars.com to display, store, and moderate it. We may reject or remove comments at our discretion.

yourchars.com is provided as-is. We may update these policies as the site changes; the Last updated date above is the canonical signal.

Content ratings & age gating

Cards are labelled suggestive, mature, or explicit based on source data and editorial review. Suggestive cards can appear in the default catalogue. Mature and explicit cards are excluded from search indexing and the sitemap, and are shown only after an age confirmation on the card page. Explicit-rated cards do not accept comments.

By choosing a full-catalogue view or confirming the mature-content age gate, you affirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to view that material. Explicit cards are not publicly available. The confirmation stores only the first-party yc_age_v cookie; we do not collect identity proof.

Every card indexed here is intended to depict a fictional character. Content that sexualizes minors is prohibited regardless of rating. Report confirmed violations through the takedown process below.

yourchars.com is currently published in English only. The English text is the authoritative version of these policies.

Takedowns and creator requests

yourchars.com indexes metadata, thumbnails, and links. We do not host the full card files.

If you are a rights holder and a listing infringes your copyright, email takedown@yourchars.com with the listing URL and proof of ownership. We confirm receipt within 24 hours and remove confirmed listings within 72 hours.

If you are the card creator and want your own listing removed or corrected, email legal@yourchars.com from a contact address shown on your source profile, with the card URL. No legal paperwork is needed for creator self-removal; we action confirmed creator requests within 72 hours.

This page does not add a counter-notification process, registered DMCA agent, legal entity, postal address, or jurisdiction statement beyond the email contacts above.

Affiliate disclosure

yourchars.com may in the future receive affiliate commissions from outbound links to companion-product partners. As of this page’s last-updated date, no affiliate links are live (SHOW_AFFILIATE=false).

If affiliate links are enabled, they will be visibly marked, use rel="sponsored", and be routed through a referrer-stripping redirect. Affiliate status will not decide which cards are indexed or featured.
